Comments

Commanded the 104th as a 1ST LT and was later
transferred to the Rock Crusher at Nui-Ba-Din, he left there
about 24 hrs before there was a large fire that destroyed
most of the crusher.
As of the printing of the weapons qualification sheet he was
a 1st Lt. later promoted to Captain.
Today he id the Commander of the DAV in his area.

Almost 40 years ago

Certainly a lot has happened to all of us since we left the special unit
we called home, the 104th Engineer Co DT. It was my first assignment as a new
"butter bar", and a chance to find out if I could hack it. I could and I did as did
everyone else under the guidance of "Pappy" and oppressive heat, or the
searing sun. Spent seven months and then was reassigned to Nui Ba Den to
make asphalt until my
