, Today you
might find yourself building an
airfield, while  another unit of the
20th Engineer Brigade may be
installing a moveable runway
make of snap together panels.
Tomorrow it cold be  bridge,
which comes in a movable model
mounted on a tank, to a wood
bean built bridge.
The engineers job was never too
easy and there was always the
chance that the enemy didn't like
what you were doing
Pictured was a total of 143 5-Ton trucks hauling blacktop, it
needed to be 350 degrees when delivered to the building site, not
to mrntion the 100-plus temperture that day.
The asphalt spreading machine, imagine  working on this
machine, spreading asphalt that is at least 350 degree's, the
outside air that day is 110 + .
This airfield took a total of 724 loads of blacktop
